Chili Chicken Stuffed Pratas

Super simple yet satisfying

An extra step to instant food making it an everlasting memory of something so simple to make yet so delicious. Pratas, also known as parathas, are a fave amongst Singaporeans. We can never go wrong with pratas. Most of us eat it with various curries (dhal curry is my favourite), some with sugar but today, we gonna add in some meat with every bite. Of course, you can put whatever filling inside be it meat or vegetarian.

30 mins | Serves 4-6 (only 10 pcs to be exact)

  • 2 tb oil
  • 7 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 2 tbs garlic ginger paste (2 clove garlic and 1 thumb ginger blend)
  • 2 red chili padi, diced
  • 2 small red onion, diced
  • 2 tomato, chopped
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbs garam masala (optional)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbs pepper
  • a bunch fresh coriander, chopped

Step 1: Drizzle oil in the pan. Mix everything up and stir fry until cooked with aroma.

Step 2: Put aside in a bowl.

  • 6 pcs parathas, defrosted

Step 3: Fry one prata and top up with the filling. Leave an inch of space all around so that can glue with the other prata to close it up.

Step 4: Press another uncooked prata on top of the filling and use a spatula to seal it round.

Step 5: Flip over and cook the other side of the prata and we are done.

Step 6: To serve, cut into half and serve alongside some nice curry of your choice. Or, you can eat it on its own.
