Homemade Beef Burger

Everyone loves burgers. Be it beef or chicken, we have all had a share in relishing those yummy moments. Enuff said, below is my take on what is a simple homemade that is tasty enough for any soul.

As usual, I will introduce the steps first. You may scroll all the way down for the full ingredients list.

45 mins | Serves 4

Beef Mixture:

  • 600g minced beef
  • salt and pepper
  • dashes of cajun powder (optional)

Step 1: Mix all the above.

Step 2: Flatten the mixture into 4 pancake size patty. The thickness no thicker than your index finger. Use oil for easier shaping.

Step 3: Heat the non-stick pan and place those patties on. Turn to medium heat.

Step 4: Flip after 2.5 mins.

  • 4 slices cheese

Step 5: Wait for 1 min and add a slice of cheese on top of the patty. Do not flip over anymore. Wait for another min and lift the patty off the pan.

Homemade Sauce:

  • 120g KewPie japanese mayo
  • 1 heap tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp roast lamb seasoning
  • 1 tsp grind peppers

Step 6: Mix all the above ingredients for the homemade sauce. You can taste it and alter to your liking. It’s so good.

  • 1 butterhead lettuce, just few leaves, shredded
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 240g/ 8 slices bacon (turkey or beef)
  • 4 hamburger buns

Step 7: Half the buns and toast them.

Step 8: Bake the bacons in the microwave for 1 min on each side. (I like microwaved bacons because they look less dry and taste less salty.)

Step 9: Here is the order from bottom to top. Bun, sauce, patty bacon, tomato, sauce again, lettuce, sauce on top bun. And close it up.

Step 10: Serve with truffles fries. You can also do it, deconstructed style. 🙂
